Yaddo Presents: Gary Shteyngart in Conversation with Joe Donahue

In concert with Northshire Bookstore, we are delighted to present WAMC’s Joe Donahue in conversation with Yaddo author Gary Shteyngart in celebration of his latest novel, Our Country Friends, which The New York Times headlined as “His Finest Yet.”

This is a free, public event, and will be held in-person at Northshire Bookstore Saratoga.

Gary Shteyngart is the bestselling author of the memoir Little Failure as well as several novels, including Super Sad True Love Story, Absurdistan, Lake Success, The Russian Debutante’s Handbook and his latest, Our Country Friends, a novel about love, friendship, family, betrayal, and six months in isolation hailed as a “virtuoso performance” (USA Today). His books regularly appear on best-of lists around the world and have been published in thirty countries.

Joe Donahue is the Senior Director of News and Programming for WAMC Northeast Public Radio and has been with the station since 1994. He is best known for his continuing work as a talk show host and interviewer on The Roundtable as well as the nationally syndicated half hour chat with renowned authors, The Book Show.
