The roses begin to bloom in mid-June and are at peak from about the third week of June through July, and then peak again in mid- to late-August. The rock garden is in bloom from mid-June through mid-September.
Summer drop-in tours of the Yaddo Gardens are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, from June 23 through September 2 for $10 per person. Visitors should meet at the main garden gate at 11 AM.
Docent-led garden tours for private groups of eight visitors or more may be arranged by contacting the Yaddo Office at 518-584-0746.
During racing season, special “ghost tours” are offered on Tuesday evenings, from July 24 through August 28, at 5 PM, for $10 per person. From September 21 through October 28, the $10 ghost tours resume on Friday and Sunday evenings at 5 PM. Visitors should meet in the garden parking lot at 5 PM. No reservation is required. Cash or checks only, please.
