Who can volunteer?
Anyone! You don’t have to know a lot about Yaddo to volunteer.

When is training?
All volunteers must attend at least one of the training sessions. The training session will be approximately 3 hours. Training materials will be distributed before the training sessions.

Tuesday, September 27, 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Wednesday, September 28, 11 a.m.

What types of volunteer shifts are available?
In addition to docents, guides, and assistant guides, we need people to help with the refreshment area for volunteers, crowd control, admission, and a host of other areas to keep things moving along smoothly.

How long is the volunteer shift?
We are requesting that volunteers agree to at least a two-hour shift, although many volunteers plan to stay for the day. We are grateful to everyone willing to offer their time. Please note that you should arrive 30 minutes before your shift. There are four shifts available:

  • 8:30   A.M. –  10:30 A.M.
  • 11:00 A.M. –  1:00 P.M.
  • 1:30   P.M. –  3:30 P.M.
  • 4:00   P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
