Yaddo Presents in DC: Sheri Fink in conversation with Jacki Lyden

Sheri Fink is a neuroscientist and epidemiologist who has won two Pulitzer Prizes for her reporting on medical issues for the New York Times. She will be in conversation with Jacki Lyden, a host and contributing correspondent for National Public Radio, about pandemics, ethics in disaster, and the media response to medical emergencies. Copies of her National Book Critics Circle Award-winning Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital will be available for purchase and signing. The event is presented in conjunction with NYU Washington, DC. It is free and open to the public, but NYU requests registration.

Yaddo Presents in Saratoga: An Evening with Meg Wolitzer

Over the course of her thirty-year career as a novelist, Meg Wolitzer’s sharp but generous analysis of female friendships, wit, and depictions of intimacy have won her both critical acclaim and a popular following. Yaddo is delighted to welcome her back to Saratoga Springs for an evening of reading and conversation at Universal Preservation Hall on October 27 at 7:30 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for both Yaddo and UPH as they embark on the restoration of their historic buildings. The $17.50 coupon also includes a $5 coupon toward the cost of any Wolitzer novel.
