Sheri Fink is a neuroscientist and epidemiologist who has won two Pulitzer Prizes for her reporting on medical issues for the New York Times. She will be in conversation with Jacki Lyden, a host and contributing correspondent for National Public Radio, about pandemics, ethics in disaster, and the media response to medical emergencies. Copies of her National Book Critics Circle Award-winning Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital will be available for purchase and signing. The event is presented in conjunction with NYU Washington, DC. It is free and open to the public, but NYU requests registration.
